How to get there... Kalgoorlie – Boulder


Travelling from Perth...

Kalgoorlie – Boulder is 596km North - East of Perth along the Great Eastern Highway (approximately a 7 hour drive)

From Perth you have a few options you can take to make your journey to the heart of the Goldfields.

TransWA offer daily train departures on the Prospector visit www.transwa.wa.gov.au for more information.

Or you can take the super quick, “get me there” option and catch a Skywest Airlines (www.skywest.com.au) or Qantas (www.qantas.com.au) flight which takes approximately 1 hour.

If you’re driving from Perth to Kalgoorlie why not try and do the Golden Pipeline Trail along the way. The trail will give you an insight into the ingenious engineering of CY O’Connor and his 560 kilometre water pipeline that became the backbone of the Goldfields. CY O’Connor was responsible for turning the harsh, unforgiving Goldfields into an outback oasis.

Travelling from Sydney, Broken Hill and Adelaide...

The Indian Pacific Railway has twice weekly departures available, visit www.railplus.com.au for more information. Flights are also available via Perth.

Qantas Airlines now offers direct flights from Adelaide in South Australia to Kalgoorlie – Boulder city. www.qantas.com.au


Travelling from Esperance and Norseman...

Kalgoorlie – Boulder is approximately a 400km drive from Esperance and around 200km from Norseman along the Coolgardie Esperance Highway. Daily bus services are available from Esperance.
